Even with Covid-19 cases at an all time high and events cancelling across the nation, Kingwood Farmers Market, held every Thursday afternoon in the picturesque Town Center Park located behind the shops on the South West corner of Kingwood Drive and West Lake Houston, has been a continuously reliable event, through the many ups and downs that Kingwood has experienced the last few years. We all need fresh fruits and vegetables.

Thatand#39;s not all there is though at Kingwood Farmers Market. There is a mix of traditional Farmers Market vendors providing grass fed beef and chicken, local honey, yard raised eggs, homemade salsa, pickles and jellies, Indian food, baked goods and more. In addition, craft vendors sell organic makeup, soaps and personal care items, CBD products, candles, Tupperware and craft items.

Due to the changes in the Cottage Food Laws in recent years there are also several home bakers who bring their goods to the market including high quality, breads, cakes and pies.

If you are a local grower, crafter, baker, etc and would like to vend at Kingwood Farmers Market, vendor booth spaces are 10and#39; x 10and#39; and are available at a fee of $20 per week (with the first week being free). There is never a long term commitment required and fees are collected on the day of the market. The market set up is one hour ahead of the market opening and vendors are free to leave at any time during the market.

Application forms can be downloaded from this link https://www.towncenterevents.com/farmersmarket.html and can either be emailed or brought to the market on the first visit. Note that the Farmers Market application is for traditional items such as produce, meat, eggs and plants. Those vendors need to provide evidence of any required certification by the State. The Craft Form is for any other items. Baked goods are acceptable if they are baked in a certified kitchen or if they comply with the State Cottage Food Laws.
